Hi, I had a first date with a sweet guy yesterday and had a great time. We are had talked about going on another date and have a date set. I need some help in thinking of ideas for a 2nd date. We had mentioned getting dinner and I would like to do something after dinner. What are some ideas for a 2nd date that is on a weekday evening?

Are you in a city? Dessert stop, live music (jazz or piano bar?), or taking a walk somewhere safe (maybe to a nice park or viewpoint) are some ideas I can think of that don’t revolve around just drinks. If a bar is more your speed, you can try a wine bar or speakeasy if you have any nearby to keep it a more romantic atmosphere.

One more idea. A guy once had me meet him at an evening open mic night which I thought would be terrible but ended up really fun! It gave us things to talk about.

@Maddie, we do live in the city just different areas. I live more in a suburban area. I had considered taking a walk after a dinner but I can’t think of too many ideas. For our first date we did get dinner, went bowling/arcade, and went to see in improv show.

Sometimes a nice date is just getting to know someone over: an ice cream, a game of pool at pool bar, sport (game of tennis, pingpong) , bike ride in a scenic area. . The standard dinner and a movie.
