    Hi all,
I would appreciate your opinion. My boyfriend and I are together since last summer and live together since this June. We are both home officing and in our country is lockdown, which he takes worse than I do. So he decided to learn the language of the country where we live and started to talk to some native speaker girls via video calls. He doesnt have many friends here, actually only one male friend, and this is his way how to find new ones. I support him with learning (I also offered my help) and I want him to have friends, I would just feel more comfortable if he would look for male friends (especially when he doesnt have many friends in general). I tried to express this to him in calm conversation, I tried to show him this from my perspective (I also want to learn two languages which he speaks) so I could also find some male native speakers to help, and he said he wouldnt like that. He also said I give him less freedom (not in exact words, I dont remember exactly the way he said it). Am I overthinking this? Thank you!
Sorry for my English, I am not native speaker :)

I feel you are way too much into your bf’s space about what he cant and can do. I mean: you support him learning a new language. Do you realize how condescending that really sounds? And the second he video chats with a few girls you are all over it. Learn a new language yourself and support yourself doing that. I do undrstand why your bf thinks you are making him feel he loos losing his freedom/independance. Once thats happening you have to watch out as guys dig that as the least attractive quality in a girl. Ask yourself: is he inclined to cheat? Has he been loyal and good to you? If those are yesses then why are you so upset about him talking to a fee native girls in the open? The guy is getting crazy being Corona home bound and seeing only you day to day. Give him space to breathe.

I agree with, Raven. All for learning a new language but it seems like he’s using this to actively meet new woman.

Seems like this pandemic is really making or breaking a lot of couples..
