To cut a long story short I’ve been with new boyfriend for a little while now and we went to have sex for the first time.
I’ve not had sex with anyone in about 7 years now and this was quite rushed (we’d been drinking and he went straight in). It didn’t last long and it hurt.
Afterwards I found bright red blood in my underwear and had to wear a pad for a couple of days. Queue 48 hours later and I thought I’d try new vibrator (not had one of these for about the same length of time) and same again. Bright red blood.
Do I need to be worried? Is it likely just too rough too quickly and my vibrator just caught it again? (I’m not a virgin and have had my fair share of sexual partners before hand).
A small amount of bleeding after not having penetrative sex in a long long time is not a cause for concern as it is most likely due to friction that caused an inflamation. Probably because you were not lubricated or aroused enough.
However, if you had to wear pads for a couple of days, then it is quite alarming as this could be a sign of infection of the cervix, either STI ( Sexual transmitted infection) or STD ( Sexual Transmitted Disease). It could also be cancer of the cervix, vagina or uterus. Menopause also could be a factor if you’re old enough.
You need to conduct an immediate pelvic exam to determine the true cause as it is reoccurring. It is not normal.
Bleeding could indicate changes in your cervix . When was the last time you had a cervical screening?
Might be a good idea to see your gyno…
