Someone can cheat on you behind your back – safety/certainty is a myth. That’s true.
However, the main reason to avoid this kind of close friendship/hangouts is because people tend to share too much their intimate details (specially women). The friend get to know all about the bads and the weaknesses of the relationship. If he/she is ever interested, they just have to wait for the right moment…

I understood the pist to be he asked two separate people on different occasions, one being a girl. I guess I misunderstoid. I just believe you get the respect that you deserve so again would not play golf or anything one on one with a guy friend where there is mutual attraction.

I don’t think u should of taken his wanting to play pool seriously. People say all the time to friends”hey we should do this or that sometime” and the person agrees but doesn’t take what they’re saying seriously. He was just being friendly/agreeing and he obviously knew I’ve been wanting to go so this double date would’ve been a good opportunity.
