I met this guy at work who was very attractive . He is from another country. None of my colleagues knew him ( big work place ). He got my number at a work party but did not pursue me . He added me on snap chat and asked me out . He took me to a really nice place and paid .BUT he said he needed to take things slow with me, I shouldn’t rush . I said I would like to date someone consistently etc get to know them , be said ok let’s just be friends, I just left it .

So I accepted he is not that into me etc.My guy friend brought up whether he thought he could have had a girl back home . He thinks Snapchat is used to conceal messages. When I asked this guy if he was single he didn’t respond . His Facebook is very private and he doesn’t have Instagram, despite having a lot of pics of himself . He is the only one in his friend group not to have it My guy friend thinks it’s odd he goes back home so much , every other weekend .
This guy doesn’t speak to a lot of work collegues and doesn’t mix with them . No one knows anything about him really and he has been there for years .

Does it sound like he may have someone back home ? Or likely as I thought not interested?

Maybe, but none of us know any more than you do. He could have 20 kids back “home”, honestly it’s a guess.

My first impression is that he’s very private and is hard to get to know. You want consistency and told him that, so he backed off and said let’s just be friends. So that’s what he’s doing now. Being your friend. His privacy is more important.

You should move on and find others to date. If this guy comes around, then great! If not, well at least you didn’t wait by the phone so to speak. :)
