After a week I told him I am not interested in hookups or casual relationship, and then asked him what he was looking for. She I have waited to discuss this or was my timing OK?
Nothing wrong with asking, I suppose, but I prefer to do that on a 2nd or 3rd date. However, sharing that you don’t want casual or hookups leaks that you have been hurt and are not really ready for what you actually want. I would frame it as I am looking for something serious and casual is not for me. See the difference?
