FWB paying more attention

Hi,

I have been seeing this guy casually for the past 6 months and we were clear at the beginning that we are on a casual basis. My birthday was early this month. He showed up with cake, wine, dinner, candles, present etc. Took me by surprise. His birthday was last month and I did zilch!

Since then, he has been quite attentive. Sees me more often and we talk everyday now. Sends me morning greetings etc. I did mention to him that I would like to end this arrangement by end of the year as I m looking to date seriously in 2020. I m a little confused because I do not want to jump the gun and assume anything else. Also abit apprehensive in asking him. I m 45 and he is 40. Yeah i know right, still confused at 45!!! Any thoughts on this?

Unless he has claimed you openly as his exclusive girlfriend and consistently treats you as such, these things mean absolutely nothing. What do you think is going to happen when he meets a woman who not only knocks his socks off, but who won’t allow herself to be just a FWB?

Maybe ask him? Personally, I can’t do the FWB thing but some women can. I kind of wish I was more care free like that. Like Andrea (ABOVE) said–if he’s not calling you his GF, then you aren’t his GF. :(
