Guy at university

So there is this guy at my university that I used to have classes with last semester. We definitely hid it off and was always sort of seeking eachother. In a really cute and innocent way. He did have girlfriend so nothing too much. However he once came by my home to pick up some notes and ended up staying for about 1,5 hours.
Last week I met in at univeristy again (i havent seen him in around six months). And it was like “oh hey hi”. But I was in a hurry so i had to go. He then immediately write me after that the reason he was at the should was because of a friday bar, but it seemed to be completely full and then wished me a good weekend.
I message i really didnt have to write.
I dont know if he is still with his girlfriend. Should I take this as a sign or not get my hopes up? We wrote very little back and forth on that messages and made a vague plan to go to the friday bar next time.
