Helen, I haven’t read everyone’s responses I just want to say you are absolutely right in how you feel. He was very rude to cancel your date at the last minute and act like it was nothing. He didn’t even apologize.
I wouldn’t go out with him again because he doesn’t know how to keep his commitments. You’ve been on one date with the man and this is who he shows himself to be?
Some people seem to think your priority should be worrying about how his career is going. Who gives a crap! The only thing you need to worry about is how he’s treating you, and after one date I’d say he’s not treating you well at all. Trust your instincts. The reason you feel bad is because he treated you badly.
