We suppose little bit yesterday- where the conversation ended with me replying to his question- what I was up to later” where he didn’t even open yet.
Just now he sent or forwarded a a chained-forward New Year message” – I feel so pissed – I open it and didn’t say anything call me petty but I won’t wish happy new year- if he can’t be asked a personal one especially when he didn’t even read my message yesterday.

If he is that special to you, why isn’t he spending New Years with you? A text? Lol. Not even a phone call? You don’t provide any context at all to your post but he is either long distance or not that close to you.

This guy I’ve been dating for the last 3 months, didn’t as so much call or text me to say Happy New Year. It hurts and confuses me,because he just texted me the day before, telling me he misses me. And how much he likes many attitude,my smile my personality and other things. A this point I have no choice but to dump him. This is the absolute wrong way to start off the new year.

Because it’s a text and he was just texting her the day before saying he misses her, etc… I mean if he stops messaging you all together or backing off then consider it….

Just see how communication goes this week and if he just pulls away all together then maybe reconsider dumping

Anaise My situation is settled as I did get nice message last night- bit late – and he did contact today and asked to see me tonight.
So that’s not a problem for me for anymoreI think your situation is bit different to my mine one as it is early stages for you guys so give him a chance and see how it goes x

Unless he just crawled out from under a rock, at three months in this guy knows better, and knows he should have wished you a Happy New Year either yesterday or today. Hell I’m wishing HNY to gas station attendants and cashiers, never mind my boyfriend!
At this point the holiday is practically forgotten as everyone starts to get their brains back into work mode for tomorrow.
If he doesn’t call by the time you go to sleep tonight, cross him off your list of toys to bring into 2018 and find a new guy. 😃👍🏻

We wish Happy New year to everyone, so how can a guy not wish you anything if you’ve been seeing him for 3 months. I agree that if everything else is great than dumping them over this is not warranted. Did you wish him anything? Maybe he is sitting and thinking the same thing you are? If you are under 25 this is highly probable. Young men these days are androgenous at best, and quite emasculated overall. LOL

My boyfriend of 10years he didn’t text me a Happy New Year last night…🙁 a bit disappointed and obviously hurtful as he never did this before.It is not a good sign obviously but I think it is what it is! I won’t waist my time thinking why? I will take it as a cowardly bye with the old and happy New year with the New.No matter how strong someone can be it is cruel and hurtful but time heals and that’s life.Don’t hang around waiting for your New boyfriend to text is not worth it take it from me… no matter if he was at home or having a good time out partying still there is no excuse of not taking the minute and the time seriously takes half second to send someone that you really love and care a text.

Poppy this is a years old post and you can also pist your own story. But anyway, Yes this looks like a bad sign to me. There must be other signs as well that this relationship is over i think. Like maybe the reasons why you not spend it together? Of course there can be valid reasons, but in those cases there would be more reasons to stay in touch on new years eve. So im not sure how deep your relationship was and maybe you shouldnt have stick with it for so long but based on the little Intel thats impossible to say. Wish you all the best

I had been dating someone for two weeks. It’s been a week and a hall since he started to act more distant. He did not wish me a Merry Christmas. On the 28th of Dec was his bday. I wished him a happy bday. We both are out of town with our families and asked me when I was back but nothing else. He also did not wish me a HNY. I know those are all bad signs but part of me was remitted to wish him a HNY. I know I should not. What would you do ?

Well Luna, How do you know these behavior changes are drastic? You’ve only really known this guy for one week, so you really don’t know him.
