I agree with Stephanie..completely. Hate/love are strong emotions. If he says he hates you it is because he still feels love. If you truly do not care, you don’t really feel any love/hate. But that does not mean that because he still might love you that you should feel that he is the one for you.

Just loving someone does not mean that they will treat you right and respect you. For some people, their version of love is twisted. They really are toxic people.

    Hi Melissa,

Can you tell what happened in detail?
Agree that your boyfriend should have not verbally and physically abuse you.
But I want to know how the fight got that ugly?
Is it not the first time? Does he do it often? Does he get short temper?
Was it something that provoke or trigger him?
The relationship where at least one person start throwing verbal or physical attack is better not be continued, that will harm the self esteem, emotion and the person involved.

I ask you that, because there are some cases where a man lash out when a woman beat him or trying to harm it.
It is true, as stronger physically, by honor, men should restrain of hitting women verbally and physically.
However, sometimes, someone might do something in self defense and there are women who like to insult or hit man too when fighting
