He wants me to wait for him

I’m going through this right now. My boyfriend broke up with me today but told me to wait and then he will marry me. But for now he said that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. How is that fair to me? He said that I’m so perfect for him but he wants me later, not right now. How does that make sense, how is he considering my feelings in this and what I want? Both of us are deeply in love and care for each other so much. But right now I think he is caring for himself more and fulfilling what he wants. I don’t know what to do. Is there a chance he will change or come back to me for good. It’s really hard for me to move on, because he said that I’m the only girl that he will ever marry and has told his family that too. But I don’t want to wait. I’m so hurt.

Hi Rose-Sorry that tis is happening. However,he does not get to throw you on ice until he is “ready”. I would guess he wants to “see what is out there” etc. while you gather cobwebs.
If he truly loved you he would stay with you and work through his readiness for a commitment. Love is an ACTION as much as a feeling-his actions are not demonstrating that he values and needs YOU. Tell him that you are sad but you will get on with your life now as he can not give you the relationship you are seeking. This is tough but you will find the right guy-one that makes it clear you are the woman for him “right now”!
