Help! This guy is confusing me a lot

Hi there! I started dating a guy I met online. We went out 4 times and called it a date each time and we got along super well. I asked him if he was interested in a relationship or what he wanted and he said he really really likes me but that I’m more like a sister to him. I said okay but that if I’m more like a sister we shouldn’t go out anymore and then he said that was the wrong term and he just isn’t ready for a serious relationship (which I myself am not looking for either). He said he still wants to hang out. We haven’t hung out since then, we’ve talked on the phone a few times and he texts me every single day. He even sends me things on IG sometimes saying I’d like something or it was funny. He updated his online dating profile so ik he’s still actively seeking out other women (I think) which is fine but why is he texting me everyday?! And sending long messages and talking about his life? We get along really really well and I don’t mind just being friends but it doesn’t really feel that way…am I just overthinking this?
