Bf of 2 years and I took a holiday and booked a hotel for a few days. It was sunny and warm so obviously i had a sun dress and sandals on.
We were walking along the river and there were lots of people as well and he suddenly said why are girls these days showing so much skin? It’s hard not to look. And he even said he saw a girl with shorts so short he saw her bum. Everybody saw it on the riverside I think.
I was so freaking jealous and asked him why he said what he said. I was really upset tbh , and he said he was just stating facts, nothing to it.
I brought it up again that night and he said stop asking, he was just being honest about his thoughts and didn’t want to hide anything from me and talked openly. Am I reading too much into this?
AngieBabyYes.
LaneHayley, yes, you are reading way into a big fat nothing burger.
He said absolutely nothing that should have made you jealous. Like he said, he was stating a fact, which you agreed with, so not sure why you’re trying to pick a fight with him? You keep acting like this, and he will eventually get tired of the drama, or worse stop telling you what he’s thinking, which is something I’m sure you wouldn’t want, as its barrier to building trust, and closeness, with a partner.
RavenWhy did that make you jealous?
DanaFrom what you stated as how things went – yes, you are reading way too much into this. He told you his observation and, what I got from it, it sounds as if he wasn’t all in agreement with how those girls were dressed.
I’m all for open communication but sorry to say – you were on a mission to find a smoking gun.
Nobody enjoys having their words twisted or assigned a motive. He gave you an explanation yet you rejected what he said to dig for a crime to pin on him. Do this enough and things will go south really fast.
