Hi, so met my neighbor on our roof a few times and we chatted. He’s not my usual type but thought there was something about him and I got a vibe. One night was a bit drunk and one thing let to another and we hooked up. He lives on the floor above. When I left his apartment he had taken my number and said I’ll text you. As soon as I got back to my apartment he sent me a message saying “hey just texting so you have my number”. I said “got it, thanks!”. He hasn’t messaged. I’ve always been under the impression that if a guy is interested he will make the effort to text. Thoughts? Would you leave it and assume there’s no interest? Or shoot him a casual text? I know I’m probably playing with fire anyway.

I think you’ll get different answers from different people but in my opinion I’d say text him. He’s already texted you so take control and message him first (not all the time though- has to be 50/50). If he’s still wishy washy then I’d say then forget about him.
You’re right, if a guys interested they’ll message you first. But sometimes guys just need a little encouragement from the girl imo. Good luck!

My fell is that your reply was really cold. He was being flirty and you were not. It probably made put him off a bit. I say text him. Something nice and flirty see where it goes. You dont have anything to lose in this situation. Just go for it

He’s not interested in you, that’s why he’s not texting.
When you hook up like that, guy will see you as a booty call and treat you accordingly.
I don’t think there is a whole lot of respect for you on his part.
