How do I deal with this without looking immature?

I’ve been with my partner 6 years. His friends have always remained friends with his ex of 20 years. So when there’s a party or event they invite her. He’s going to a birthday party this weekend and his ex has been invited but I’m not invited he’s going alone. I’ve tried speaking to him about it but he said I need to be mature about it. He can’t say anything thats how it is. It’s so uncomfortable. I’ve had this for 5 years and she said she would always be in his life and she’s always been there even tho their son is 25…how do I deal with this situation the right way?
