    How do I ask my boyfriend to get an HIV test? We haven’t had sex yet and I know I’m clean but I don’t want to make him feel as if I’m insulting him.

    If anyone has any advice on how to ask him without sounding like I don’t trust him it would be greatly appreciated.

    Say that you are very cautious and that for peace of mind you’d like him to get full STI testing including HIV and that if he would like you to get it done you would be happy to do it too.
    A good man won’t flinch at that request

    Just use a condom. Even if he’s “clean” now, that doesn’t mean he can’t get it down the line if he’s having sex with other people besides you. Also, assess the risk factors. IV drug use, having sex with other men, unprotected sex with multiple partners or prostitutes. If he’s high risk, I would avoid having sex with him at all. You most likely will offend him if you ask him to get tested.
