Brit
I’ve been talking to this guy for a few months and today I basically opened up to him about some abusive relationships I’ve been in and issues I’m having in my life.
I shared alot with him all in one convo, basically so many issues.
He said he knows I try to act tough but he knows I’m sensitive and have feelings.
I also agreed and told him why it seems that way due to past experience but that I am emotional and love hard even though it might not be easy and with everyone.
He didn’t say anything negative but now I feel I could be scaring him off.
I feel like it’s alot to dump on him at once and ge might see me as some messed up girl with alot of issues.
Yes I have issues and stuff but I still have a good life, happy and very stable,
but I feel like dumping it all at once on him might seem much and scary.
I’m now worried that conversation could deter a possible relationship.RavenYou two have met in person?
BritYes we have met in person a few times but haven’t seen each other in a while due to distance.
We also plan to meet up in a few weeks.RavenHi @Brit,
How did you two meet,
How long is the distance between the two of you?
Who does the initiating?BritWe met in a cafe and hung out alot for about two weeks before I traveled back home in to a different country to visit my family, so we have been distant for 5 months. He did want to come to my country to spend a month but it eventually did not work out due to immigration/visa issues so we decided to wait till I return in August.
He is usually the one who initiates everything, I do too but he is very happy to communicate. He is very good at it.
Basically everything is good with us, he hasn’t given me any reason to doubt him, I’m only worried him now knowing about my issues and past relationships would scare him.RavenHow long is the distance between the two of you?
Your finding a therapist for this type of stuff is a great idea!
