What is on a man’s mind when he text messaged a marriage proposal and implying wanting to have kids
(A text message! I love him and believe in him, but I’m a bit speechless. I replied, ‘Yes, but only if I can tell our kid about this message when he’s grown, in a happy family, maybe even getting married.’ The truth is, I want to know him better before considering marriage. The fact that I don’t fully grasp his thoughts behind sending this text message shows I really need to know more about him. And perhaps similarly, it’s important he gets to know me better too.)

There isn’t a lot of information here to go on to even consider what this person is thinking. I personally would be insulted to be asked via text message.
How long have you been together? How old are you both? Have you met in person? Etc. Those are just a few questions that come to mind when reading your post.
