Nothing ever happens

Hi all…good news for everyone. I’m grand. Ticking along Ok. Still miss Frank..think of him all the time but just letting go. No news from online guy…plenty if others I retested. .but I am not. Still studying away. House legal paperwork still not over . I am chasing it up but not stressing.

Ha !More like I’ll be methuselah. …man who lived the longest. Frank can be my stepping stone any day…Whilst I stop his face down into the mud as I cross several puddles. Ha ha ha

So.. an online guy messaged me and I replied. He’s in my work town for a few days from tomorrow so am waiting to see if he asks to meet. I shall say.. YES. nothing ventured, nothing gained. He seems funny at least !

ok. dates on for tomorrow evening. At hotel he staying at.. as it’s on my way out of town to home. This… is my first date in 7 years ! The night with Frank don’t count as that was not a proper date ! Wish me luck ! Am going to wear a pink, sleeveless lace dress. mid length. Black tights I think. his name is johnnie.. I think.

Lucky, lucky you Mel. I am soo glad all is back on track. I will be doing.. NONE of that ! He seems nice though.. will see if he tries to get me into bed… and I have NO intention of doing that.

I’m just going out.. to have fun and move on from Frank/forget him for a few more hours.. Put ALL that I’ve learned from this forum into practice. And WHO knows.. I may REALLY enjoy myself. I am going with a positive attitude and give the guy a chance. By the few messages he sent, he sounds like he’ll be easy to talk to !

Oh..I do have to laugh though.
After changing my profile pic on FB to the one of me in the red dress yesterday, I woke up to emails from 4 various guys I’ve known, plus got texts from a few I hadn’t heard from in a while. lol Sorry guys, but you didn’t want anything with me before, and now you think b/c you threw me a few compliments, I’m going to “welcome you in”? Nope!!!! lol

Thanks all for the well wishes. He’s 48..6 ft. ..works in sales. Over here on the east coast of ireland for a few days work. He’s from Galway. ..The war coast about 3 hrs from me..

I gave one MAYBE red flag already. We agreed to meet in his hotel and he said he’d be thete from 4.30pm onward. …which let me to think if I had said I could not meet him until 7…..would he have been at the bar all the time ??? He says he likes sport and a beer. …so not a lot on his profile. Also wants to date but nothing serious.

to be honest…I think of Frank ALL the time. I am only mildly excited about Johnnie. …am more interested in just getting out and having fun..I really am trying and determined to be positive…but my heart us still with Frank….so….I will fake it till I make it. He talks nice on his messages so I know I will have fun. After that…who knows. I will try to keep an open heart and not a closed one !!!

Harley – I did not see it as a RED flag. What I saw it as that he was avbl after 4:30 pm and was waiting for you to get back to him as to what time you would like to meet. It is anyway in his hotel so no biggie from coming from his room to the bar or wherever you are meeting. Stop trying to think negative about everything and just enjoy yourself.

Just give him the benefit of the doubt, relax and observe him…

If he drinks non stop, it’s bad, and if he matches your one drink, it’s good… when you go home to night you will know what category he’s in…

And be proud of yourself for doing this… your doing it for all the right reasons and with a healthy attitude on top of that… I AM proud of you <3

Maria…I usually stick to darker colors, b/c to a certain extent I like to “hide” a bit. lol This is definitely a big departure for me to be so ‘OUT THERE’ with a color. lol Unfortunately, it’s not the kind of dress one can just wear out to dinner….it’s a bit on the fancier side, so I doubt I’ll ever actually have a chance to wear it. But I just had to have it!!!

Hello all.
Great Friday into Saturday here , but what we both thought was fall allergies turned out to be a bug. Sunday was spent in bed and not in a good way.
J is worse than me and sounded like death last night.
Started new job. It is very free form and love the ability to work with no one over my shoulder, just have to stay focused as I have very tight and specific targets to hit, so will only be popping in for now.

Mel, Glad all went well with the guy. I think we tend to over think things too much.

Sherri, I would give the cancel guy a break. He seem to be staying in touch despite a huge crisis.

Maria.. I am sure you are counting the days until your own “Hump” day lol.

Harls.. wow. Look at you. Such a great step. Go, have fun, no expectations and this may be just what you need. Meet new people.Also, I would not take it as he will be in the batr all night, just telling you that he would be available after a certain time.
