Funny he got angry saying he wont explain himself like a child. When that’s actually what children do. Grown ups are transparent, especially in a committed relationship.

Shame he doesn’t know that him laying his cards out on the table actually might increase the chances (not guarantee ofc) you might brush it off, even if his boundaries with that girl weren’t strictly platonic. Sh** happens.

You made the right call. Consider it a blessing in disguise that you’re seeing this side of his before you spent even longer together. People like this are the most cowardly/insecure of types- who would let a house burn down than admit they did anything wrong. You can only imagine what it would be like building a future with such a person.

Sally, I’m so sorry he refused to be open and honest with you. You absolutely did the right thing by not allowing him to wiggle out of it so easily. I truly hope he takes this to reflect on his actions, does the right thing and shows you those text, if he hasn’t deleted them by now, and comes clean with you.

There’s a huge elephant sitting in the middle of your relationship that you should not ignore and stand firm. Let us know if he concedes or continues to dig in his feet.
