I’ve been seeing this guy—he initiates texts with me then I’ll respond, sometimes immediately, and then he won’t reply until hours later. Would you think he is showing low interest by doing this? I’m starting to think maybe he sends mass text messages to more than me with the same text.
This sounds like typical texting behaviour for a guy. Don’t think it’s something to be getting mad about especially in the beginning. Some people are slow to reply, some people are busy, main thing is he is replying.
One thing to note though maybe don’t always reply immediately. Make him wait 20mins or so.
Hi Sara, thanks for your post!
Maybe you had forgotten, but you had posted something extremely similar in the topic named Playing Games? under the name “Jordan”. That topic isn’t too old – it would’ve been fine to continue the conversation there and ask the community for more responses.
Also as a friendly reminder, please choose one pseudonym and stick with it. When you change names, it detracts from the community’s ability to effectively respond to you.
For example, you’re asking this question about the person taking hours to respond. Are you referring to the individual who was away at a funeral, that you were talking about in your other thread here, where you had used the name “Samantha”? Or were you referring to the man you were dating when you had posted the thread under the name “Cindy” last month?
See what I mean there? By using different names, the community may not have a complete picture of your situation. Helping pull-together these threads helps the community interact with you, and it’s more respectful of the time the community spends in helping you. Thanks!
