My boyfriend and I don’t see each other that often, at least not every week. Lately, after more than a year of dating, he has been going to bed at different times than me. I usually fall asleep watching a show with him 9-10 at night and last night he was up until sometime between 3-5. I don’t know what’s going on. He used to get up with me and make breakfast and coffee with me. Today I tried to get ready quietly and left early to get myself a coffee before work. He had the pillow over his head the whole time. We had sex 2 nights ago and he couldn’t finish. This is a new thing. Happens sometimes when he’s drinking or just occasionally. Does anyone have any advice about any of this?
Yes, only once when things are calm… say… I am noticing this, this and this behavior and I am feeling somewhat confused, is there anything we should talk about?
Then lean into your life. Focus 100% on your world and your happiness.
If he says yes, listen, if he says no, just say… ok, if you need to talk, let’s and then the actions for you are you focused on you.
I would suggest to him to take a solityde vacation without you so that you would know (once he returns) whether he just needed to reconnect to himself/get centered. If he continues the behavior upon his return, you might consider moving forward in order to get what you want.
