I’ve been seeing my ex for a while now. It’s been about six month. Last time we hung out I called him daddy as a joke and an hour after I came back home, he texted me to save me as daddy in my phone. What do you think this means? I feel like for him to be thinking about it for the next 2 hours and then wanting me to go the extra mile to change his contact name to that is kinda weird. I may just be overthinking but that’s just why I came here for other perspective.

Although I call my man Gary Lover on my phone, daddy is obviously not equal, kinda puts him in the alpha position and you the little kidie.
What do you think, wouldn’t he want to be called a more equal name?

If it was an initial joke that’s one thing.
Wanting you to save his contact info in your phone as “daddy” sounds strange and shady.

It might be a kink thing. In a Dom/sub relationship calling your lover daddy is common. He might just think its hot. If its too kinky and not your thing just say “haha, I’m definitely not into daddy kink” and leave it. Simple.
You might want to have a conversation about your kinks – if either of you have any!

It’s an “ex”, that’s probably why she brought into question, is all.
