I met a guy that I really like; the feeling is mutual. However, we’ve got some heat of a speed bump and I’m wondering what would be best to do.
I have a son but he doesn’t live with me currently. I visit his every other weekend as he lives with his dad, 3 hours away from where I live. I usually stay over at the house as his dad lives there but it really is his family’s home so other family members live there. I usually stay there as it was the cheaper and more convenient option.
I was having a discussion with the guy I liked and it came up. He said he doesn’t know how he feels about the situation. So I told him we should take a break and in 3 MTHS pick up where we left off if I have sorted out my situation by then.
Since we’ve had that conversation we’ve actually not stopped talking 🙃 We even had a phone conversation that lasted over 3 hrs.
My question is, how do I treat this situation? Should I stop talking to him completely? Or should I simply limit our interaction? Hes I honestly don’t want this turning into a situationship

If your situation didn’t scare him away and he kept talking to you with the same enthusiasm then I don’t see why a break is needed really.
I mean sure he’s not too comfortable with you sleeping at your ex’s house, who would? I think you should sort out sleeping arrangements when you go see your son so you don’t lose your shot with a great guy.

I would first and foremost put your relationship with your son first and, if possible, work toward separate living arrangements while visiting your son. If the person you are seeing feels strongly and opposed to your current living arrangements while visiting your son, perhaps he would be willing to cover half of the separate iving expenses.
