I’ve been friends with someone for several years (a male).
The other day we were hanging out at my house and I was bopping around the living room singing music to myself out loud and vacuuming.
My foot got caught on the rug while I was practicing my dance moves and I tripped and hit my head on the coffee table.
I iced my head wound, we watched some TV, and then he went home.
Eventually he left but called the next day and while we were talking he alluded to the thought that I was on recreational drugs.
I do not do recreational drugs so I was a bit offended and hung up the phone on him.
Was I right to hang up the phone on him?
Could have been he was joking.
I think you’re possibly being over sensitive. If one of my good friends is acting a little nutty, I may ask them something similar but I’m not being serious. Also, if he’s not used to seeing you dance and sing around the living room, to the point where you trip and injure yourself, he may be genuinely concerned, which is nice. Doesn’t mean he’s judging you. I would apologize for hanging up and tell him that no, you are not.
