My girlfriend told me she gets anonymous advice from this website. I’m coming here to give it a shot myself unbeknownst to her.

I have a question: she and I were engaged, I ended it about a year ago. Long story…Fast forward to the present day, we are working through our relationship and planning to be married one day soon. Our relationship is at a distance and has been most of our relationship and she will be moving to my city soon. So she just came back from a family wedding this weekend out of state with her mom. I asked her about the wedding highlights, etc. She seemed to not want to discuss with me and seemed a bit cold. Said just a few sentences, I love you and that she was exhausted and headed to sleep. I don’t understand why…

It could be any number of things. Weddings can be stressful, she might have argued with a family member or she might be remembering how you broke off the engagement and wondering if you’re actually going to marry her (and the wedding amplified those fears). But, she might just truly be exhausted. See how she is after she’s had some sleep and if things don’t seem back to normal, ask her if all is well.
