In the beginning they are all over you, charming, make puppy dog eyes, say sweet words and then they start with small obvious lies, put-downs, become manipulative and show lack of respect? They pretend to be the alpha male. They do all the stuff that turn you off and when you get tired of their bs they come back with that pathetic ‘sad’ look. Does it stem from insecurity? Are they often narcissistic/psychopatic? Likely potential physical abusers? It’s just ridiculous and makes me sad having to encounter such individuals. What’s the psychology of that behaviour?
Hello,
It could be narcissism, sociopathy… It may stem from insecurity, immaturity etc… Men who need to prove they are alpha are deeply insecure and prone to abuse. The most important thing is to cut them off. Distance yourself from toxic individuals. Believe me, you owe them nothing and you are better off without them.
Who knows and who cares. All
You need to worry about is that you’re out of there
And no longer engaging. These people are in a spectrum of mildly messed up to full on dangerous. So leave and move on pronto.
